How do they make that paper?
The wooden frame used to make or “draw” paper is called a deckle. The deckle leaves the edges of the paper slightly irregular and wavy, called “deckled edges”, one of the indications that the paper was made by hand. Deckle-edge paper is occasionally mechanically imitated to create the impression of an old-fashioned luxury- at Paperworks Studio our paper making is an art.
